Cedar Valley Catholic Schools offers a robust athletic program designed to enhance the student experience through a foundation of faith, discipline, service, and knowledge. Student-athletes are given the opportunity to develop their skills, contribute to team success, and represent their school with pride.
Competing as a member of the North Iowa Cedar League (NICL), Columbus Catholic has built a tradition of athletic excellence dating back to its inception in 1959. The Sailors have earned over 40 state team championships in IGHSAU and IHSAA-sanctioned sports.
Participation in athletics is a valuable way for students to get involved, show school spirit, and take pride in being part of something greater than themselves.

CVCS Athletic Programs Offered

CVCS offers a wide range of sports for our students. Our students will often choose to participate in multiple sports within the same season. Our coaches and students work together to make the best decisions for our student athletes.

Competitive athletic opportunities for our 3rd-6th graders are also available through Sailor Nation programs including: Baseball, Basketball, Football, Softball, Volleyball and Wrestling.
These programs are parent sponsored and led to offer developmental programs to our students. Registration information will be sent out through your school communications.
